This building is well ventilated and there is plenty of fresh air and light here. Alongwith Shravakas, the Sadhu Bhagwants (Jain monks) can stay here in peace and tranquility and engage themselves with devotion in the pursuit of special knowledge, self-study and meditation. The pilgrims can have the darshan of these saints and get guidance from them.

There is huge Mural (25’x25’) above the main entrance of Upashray. Here some important events of Jainism is depicted in befitting manners.

At the uppermost part of centre of the scene is the depiction of the sublime soul on Siddha Shila that has become free from bondage and is perfectly pure after attaining Darshan, Gyan and Charitra. Little left of this Bhagwan Mahavir – an incarnation of forgiveness, giving enlightenment to Chand Kaushik, a highly poisonous snake who could kill any living creature just by a look. On left of it depicted King Meghrath (the previous birth of Bhagwan Shantinath) giving his own flesh to the (hunter) hawk to save a pigeon. Just below in the left lower comer of mural is Kosha the dancer trying to deviate ascetic Sthoolibhadra from Tapa.

In the centre lower part Muni Bahubali (standing on an elephant i.e. symbol of ego) performing dhyan is being enlightened by Sadhvis Brahmi and Sundari. On the right of it i.e. right lower corner is Kalikal Sarvagya Acharya Hemchandrasurishwarji giving sermons to his pupils. Above it in right upper corner shown is the incarnation of Bhagwan Parshwanath who remained unmoved & unperturbed by all the torturing and tormenting even in inhuman manners by Kamath.Overall impression of this mural made by ceramic pieces is really absorbing.

In the center, there is an exquisite piece of art showing the Samavasaran of Bhagwan Mahavirswami with gods, human beings and tiryanch panchendriyas (animals) expressing their deep devotion and faith to the Lord. Shri Gautamswami - the first Ganadhar of Bhagwan Mahavirswami is shown addressing the audience, as the left side as the back drop of the lecture hall.
This is his first address after his attainment of kevalgyan (i.e. ultimate knowledge) with the Chaturvidh Sangh (four-fold community) listening to him attentively and the Maladhar Devas are showering flowers on him.
On the right hand side of the hall, seated on a pulpit is the great Acharya Triputi: Gachchhadhipati Acharya Shri Kailasasagarsurishwarji in the center; on the right is Acharya Shri Kalyansagarsurishwarji and on the left are the great saint and seer Acharya Shri Padmasagarsurishwarji. The Chaturvidha Sangh is in the audience.
