Shri Dhanlakshmi Mahavirswami Jinamandir at Borij, Gandhinagar The construction work of Vishva-Maitri Dham - Borij near Gandhinagar (capital of Gujarat) is in progress. This ambitious project has been coming up at Borij where a famous ancient Tirth was established by Yoganistha Acharya Shri Buddhisagarasurishwarji Maharaj Saheb. Formerly this place was managed by Pethapur Jain Sangh and was handed over to Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra, Koba for all round development which is going on smoothly with the blessings and guidance of Acharyadev Shri Padmasagarsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb.
The renovation work of Shri Dhanlakshmi Mahavirswami Jinamandir at Borij is also to be undertaken as the Vishva-Maitri Dham.
The idol of Bhagwan Mahavir which was found while excavating the earth was originally installed by Acharya Shri Buddhisagarasurishwarji Maharaj Saheb.
The Bhoomi Poojan (foundation stone laying ceremony) of the new temple known as Mahaviralaya in its renovated form was performed on Ashwin Sud 8, v.s. 2053, Sunday (20th Oct, 1996). The new temple will be a marvelous structure of art and architecture. It is proposed to re-install the old Devakulika (i.e. miniature temple) made of Kasauti stone constructed by Seth Jagat Singh of West Bengal. This will enhance the significance of the temple manifold. The exquisite new idol of Mulanayak Shri Mahavirswami is 81 inches tall in seated posture and made from panch dhatu (five metals). This idol has unique glow and charm in it’s form.
The co-operation given by generous Danveer Sheth Shri Mukeshbhai Navinbhai Shah of Mumbai for the development of the whole campus will always be remembered. Many other schemes are also under consideration here.
Pran Pratistha (installation of main idol for pooja) of this temple is proposed on 7 Feb. 2003 A.D.
